Dumbarton House, a historic Georgetown property, serves as both a museum and a venue for private events. Located in the heart of Washington, D.C., this Federal-style mansion is a unique blend of cultural heritage, architectural beauty, and refined hospitality. To showcase its one-of-a-kind offerings and event spaces, we were tasked with creating a brochure that would serve as a go-to marketing tool — elevating Dumbarton House’s appeal to its target audience with design that’s equal parts old-world-inspired and modern.

This historic house, which dates back to the late 18th century, has long been a draw for history enthusiasts, tourists, and those seeking an elegant setting for weddings, receptions, and corporate gatherings. The goal was to develop a design that not only communicated the historical significance of the property but also highlighted its modern-day functionality as an events venue. To achieve that balance, I livened up a contemporary layout with vintage-inspired illustrations and classic typography that tapped into the Dumbarton House’s timeless elegance.
